Dennis is a criminal defense lawyer who values being accessible to his clients, a personable and down-to-earth
representative who zealously and passionately advocates for his clients. He fastidiously examines each matter,
enjoying the challenges and opportunities each case uniquely presents. He is animated by the
words of Voltaire wherein “no problem can withstand the assault of sustained thinking”.
Dennis obtained his 4-year Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Criminology with 5 and half
years of credits. During his undergrad he assisted in creating two courses for the university:
“International Law, Human Rights and Oppression” and “The United Nations” both of which
received accreditation and are still taught today.
After teaching abroad and obtaining certificates in foreign languages he went on to begin studies
in Forensic Science before opting to apply to law school, where he obtained his Juris Doctor
from the University of Ottawa in 2018. While in law school, he was employed as a research assistant at
the law school and worked in Appeals and Advisory with the federal government.
In his spare time, he is drawn-and-quartered between his wide and various points of interests and
activities. He has an insatiable appetite for literature and the broad spectrum of academia. He
enjoys golf, tennis and extreme sports – to the less extreme of chess, curling and horseshoes.
He is particularly involved in social organizations, including Church, the Masonic Lodge, the
Legion and various sports organizations. He is also a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers
Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
Dennis has appeared at all levels of court within Alberta, including the Alberta Court of Appeal.
